Meghan Ory, who plays "Little Red Ruby/Red Riding Hood" on "Once Upon a Time," is profiled in the November, 2012 issue of TV Guide Magazine.
Her character has a problem with full moons. "Ruby has been stressed about this day - the last thing she wants to do is hurt one of her friends," she says. "No one really knows what's going to happen, and Granny and Charming have to help her handle this situation."
It's unclear whose side, the Regina/Evil Queen's or Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin's, Ruby will join. Lana Parilla, who plays Regina/Evil Queen, thinks she knows the answer. "I've seen Ruby on the Queen's side since the pilot," Parrilla claims. "Ruby's a total bad girl, and the Queen needs a pet wolf." Rumpelstiltskin may have other ideas.
Be that as it may, Red is on the run in "Child of the Moon" after doing away with Peter. She definitely has issues. "Red's not dealing with it in the best way," notes Ory.
Annabeth Gish then shows up, playing Anita, who leads a wolf pack. "She helps Red in her time of need. Whether or not we can trust her is in the eye of the beholder," says Gish.
Ory gives her all to her craft. Running through the woods may be easy for a wolf, but it isn't for a fair maiden on the lam. "I sprained my ankle, face-planted, slammed my finger in a door and got hit in the face with a branch," she admitted. "It's not easy being a wolf."
