Gil McKinney of "Friday Night Lights," "Supernatural" and "Elvis Has Left the Building" is going to play Prince Eric in the coming season of "Once Upon a Time."

JoAnna Garcia Swisher

Fans of Disney animated films don't need to be told that Prince Eric is the object of attraction for Ariel "The Little Mermaid" in the classic 1989 film and its two follow-ups. Ariel will be played by  JoAnna Garcia Swisher, who played Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery in the television series "Reba."

The pair will first appear in the sixth episode of season three, entitled "Ariel."
